Tandi received her Associates of Fine Arts in Dance from Tyler Junior College where she was a member of the Internationally Famous Tyler Junior College Apache Belles. While at TJC she trained with Physicalmind aka The Method Pilates and received her certification for Mat and Mat with Props. She then finished her dance training at Sam Houston State University and received a Bachelor of Arts. Tandi decided to further her knowledge of Pilates and trained with PHI Pilates and is a certified Mat, Mat with Props, Reformer, Chair, Arc & Barrels and Cadillac instructor. During her Senior year at SHSU Tandi decided to open her first dance studio called Dance Connection and ran it for 2 years but decided she wanted to return to the Houston area and managed another dance studio in Conroe. Auditioned and dancing took a toll on her body so she transition to teaching Pilates full time but she still felt connected to the dance world for 15 years and counting. Tandi is also certified in Yoga, TRX, and Pole Fitness.
While teaching at Studio A Pilates she found Wicked Core and decided to train in the Lagree method due to the high intensity and low impact workout which is what Tandi’s Pilates style is. Tandi has the reputation of being “the hard teacher” at all Dance and Pilates studio’s but she takes care of the clients in making sure technique, form and positions are correct as well as using the correct muscles (abs) to make the body balanced as it gets stronger, leaner and longer. Tandi’s focus in class is to help others move, feel, and look better both mentally and physically. Tandi is a Level 2 certified Lagree Fitness Instructor.
